In February 2010 the Credit CARD Act went into effect. One of the new rules established by the act is that no one under 21 may sign up for a credit card without either a co-signer or verification of sufficient income. Come back and ChaCha again.

The minimum age to have a credit card is 18. Some may have a credit card that are younger, but its legally bound to their parents.
