About Wyclef Jean
Wyclef Jean was born in Haiti but has spent most of his life in the U.S., after moving to Brooklyn, NY when he was nine. He was a founder of the critically acclaimed hip-hop group, the Fugees, and launched a successful solo career after the group became inactive. Wyclef became an activist and supported anti-war efforts during the U.S. invasion of Iraq. In 2010 he announced he would run for president of Haiti, but was disqualified for not meeting residency requirements.
