How to evaluate cosine squared (150 degrees) + sin squared (150 degrees) step by step?
Because the Sin of any acute angle is equal to the Cos of that angle's complement. Since 40 deg is the complement of 50 deg, the Sin of 50 is equal to the Cos of 40. Dividing two equal numbers by each other gives you 1.
