How was the country of Taiwan created?
Taiwan is an island situated in East Asia in the Western Pacific Ocean and located off the southeastern coast of mainland China. Records from ancient China indicate that the Han Chinese might have known of the existence of the main island of Taiwan since the Three Kingdoms period (third century, A.D. 230). So it was always there, but not everyone knew.
