How were China and the former Soviet Union alike in the 1980s?
Both the People's Republic of China and the Former Soviet Union were alike in the 1980's in that they began to undertake economic reforms to help their flagging military-industrial complexes. In China's case this has been hugely successful, while the USSR saw great upheaval throughout the 80's and 90's. ChaCha!
