If a 7 week old baby dies in the womb, what happens to the baby's body?
A stillbirth occurs when a fetus, which has died in the uterus, during labor or delivery, exits a woman's body. The term is often used in distinction to live birth or miscarriage. Most stillbirths occur in full term pregnancies. At 7 weeks pregnant, a miscarried baby will usually come out of the body in the form of a period. Sometimes a D&C is needed.
