If a cat has long hair as a kitten does that mean it will always have long hair?
The length of a cat's hair will not change over the course of it's life (ie long becoming short). If a kitten has long hair, the cat it grows into will also have long hair. These cats also tend to shed less, as do dogs with longer hair vs short hair.
