If an employee is restricted by a doctor to light duty can the employer make the employee take off work until restrictions are lifted in Texas?
Unfortunately, in Texas an employer can legally make an employee take off work rather than give them light duty. Some cases have been overturned by the courts, however, if the court finds this to have been done fairly by the employer, they are not usually overruled. ChaCha again!
