If bankruptcy is declared can I get out of my current lease?
Bankruptcy only eliminates current dept. A lease that is current would not be considered current dept so you would not be able to get out of it by declaring bankruptcy. If the lease had been defaulted on resulting in unpaid rent that was sent to collections, that dept could be eliminated in bankruptcy. ChaCha!
