If Compared to a stationary galaxy, light from a galaxy that is moving toward Earth will appear , redder ,bluer, the same? More?
Since blue is at the high-frequency end of the visible spectrum, we say the light from an approaching galaxy is shifted toward blue. Likewise, if a galaxy is zooming away from you, any light it emits gets stretched. You see these stretched-out light waves as having a lower frequency and is shifted toward red, or redshifted. ChaCha on!
