If I haven't gotten my period but took a pregnancy test 4 days after my missed period and it was negative, what can be wrong with me?
Periods run from 25 days to 31 days so it is possible you are not late enough for it to register. Wait a few days then test again.

About Pregnancy Test
A pregnancy test is a convenient and accurate way to see if someone is pregnant. At-home tests are performed by the woman urinating on the stick, which intern determines if the hormone (HCG) is present. If HCG is detected, then the pregnancy test will reveal it either by a color change, or digitally depending on the type of test. Most tests are accurate 99% to 100% of the time, but there are still conditions which can produce a false negative.
