It is the lowest paid workers that have been laid off. In July, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley announced plans to eliminate hundreds of employees, UBS and Credit Suisse cut thousands of jobs and Barclays Capital has already imposed two rounds of layoffs this year.
