If someone chose to live in an Abandoned home or other building that has been deserted for years, do they still have to pay for the property?
Squatting consists of occupying an abandoned or unoccupied space or building, usually residential, that the squatter does not own, rent or otherwise have permission to use. Squatters don't have to pay for property but it is not legal.
