If someone has bone cancer and they get a bone marrow transplant will it cure them or just help them for a while?
A bone marrow transplant enables doctors to treat with aggressive chemotherapy and/or radiation by allowing replacement of the damaged bone marrow after the treatment. Transplants do not provide 100 percent assurance that the disease will not recur.
