If you file bankrupt do they take your home that you live in away if you still owe on it?
It's complicated. If you file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, you'll lose your house. If you file Chapter 13 bankruptcy and start to make regular payments on your mortgage, you can keep the house. Hope I helped, but please do more study on it.
