If you have a light period how long is it safe to have a tampon in?
A tampon is a mass of cotton or rayon or a mixture of the two inserted into a body cavity or wound to absorb bodily fluid. If your period is light I wouldn't leave the tampon in any longer than 3 or 4 hours.
