If you prepared the same concentration of 2 strong acids, sulfuric and hydrochloric, why would the pH of sulfuric be smaller than the hydrochloric acid?

Rate This Answer

Sulfuric Acid Hydrochloric acid is a strong acid - virtually 100% ionised. Each mole of HCl reacts with the water to give 1 mole of hydrogen ions and 1 mole of chloride ions. Sulfuric acid is not as strong as hydrochloric acid and will be over powered. ChaCha!
