If you stretched out a lie really far to the point where you promise you're not lying, how much trouble will you get into with your dad?
Most parents feel like lying is the worst thing you can do. It hurts the most sacred thing in the relationship which is trust. Parents handle lying in different ways as far as how you are punished but in the long run not having trust is the worst.
