There are two sides about zero being a square number. If you define a square number as any number that is the square of an integer, then yes 0 is a square. But if you define it as any number that is a square of a natural number, then no it is not.
The perfect squares from 0 to 1001 are: 0, 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100,...
