April 20 holds a special place in the hearts of all smokers, tokers and general pot heads. It is a day when regardless of cultural or socio-economic backgrounds differences are left behind, and those who are into such things, celebrate an arbitrary date and get high. Legend has it the term was coined by a group of teens who called themselves ''The Waldos'' in San Rafael, California in 1971. Apparently they would meet at 4:20 in the afternoon at the statue of Louis Pasteur to search for a lost crop of marijuana. After multiple failures, the boys gave up and the term eventually just came to be a code for smoking pot in general.
