Is a theory considered "proven"?
The gap theory (or gap creationism) has not been proven, although some religious followers claim that the book of Genesis supports the theory. ChaCha! A theory is a hypothesis: a tentative insight into the natural world; a concept that is not yet verified but that if true would explain certain facts or phenomena; So no a theory is not proven. Proven theories are laws and proofs.
