A+ blood type is one of the more common blood types. It occurs in between 24-33% of all Americans. AB- is the rarest blood type and only occurs in between .1-1% of all Americans. O+ is the most common blood type and occurs between 37-53% of the time.

No, up to 33% of the population has type A positive blood. The rarest blood type is O positive. It's still good to donate though!
