Is Borders Book Store closing?
Borders (2nd largest US bookstore chain employing 10,700) said it'll liquidate after failing to receive offers to save it. (7/18/2011 6PM) They will ask a judge THU to approve a sale of the company's remaining 399 stores to liquidators as soon as FRI, led by Hilco Merchant Resources and Gordon Brothers Group, expected to go out of business by OCT.
