Chlamydia, commonly referred to as the clap or the silent disease is the most commonly reported STD in the US. Chlamydia can be spread through vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Those affected will have abnormal vaginal/penile discharge and/or burning sensation while urinating. Chlamydia is treated by a single dose of azithromycin or a wk of doxycycline (twice daily).
