Is Glycerol a molecule used for the synthesis of an enzyme?
Glycerol is actually a precursor for synthesis of triacylglycerols and of phospholipids in the liver and adipose tissue. It's only released into the bloodstream when the body breaks down stored fat as a source of energy. ChaCha!
