Many people believe in a divine being who controls the universe and everything in it. Most religions have different ideas of their god. It is up to you to decide what you should believe.

The question of the existence of a Supreme Being comes down to what you consider 'evidence.' According to physicist Stephen Hawking, the universe created itself and God is not necessary or evident. According to many believers, a Creator is evident in the simple fact that there is a Creation. The answer depends to an extent on if you use faith or reason as a methodology for reaching an answer, and the most brilliant people to walk the earth have come to different answers on this question.
