Disease Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a common viral illness of infants and children. The disease causes fever and blisters in the mouth and/or a skin rash. Coxsackievirus A16 is the most common cause of HFMD, but other coxsackieviruses can also cause the illness. It's spread thru direct contact of bodily fluids and is contagious. But animals and humans cant swap it.

Hand, foot & mouth disease is contagious, the virus can be caught thru nose & throat secretions, blisters, or stool. ChaCha on!
