Is Homeostasis in respiration is controlled by the cerebrum?

Rate This Answer

Cerebrum Neural and chemical mediators are involved in respiratory control. The respiratory rate is controlled by: the respiratory center, stretch receptors in the lungs, peripheral chemoreceptors, and central chemo-receptors. Homeostasis in respiration is controlled by gas exchange and regulation of blood pH. Gas exchange is performed by the lungs by eliminating carbon dioxide.
