About Tobacco
Tobacco is a plant of the genus species Nicotiana. It is grown within a warm climate and can be found all over the world. The leaves of the tobacco plant are harvested, dried and then used in for smoking, chewing, dipping tobacco or snuff. It is is an ancient stimulant that grew in popularity in the 20th century as cigarettes provided a convenient and portable way of easily smoking it. Tobacco has been found to cause cancer when smoked or chewed, and nicotine in tobacco is addictive.

Hookah smoke is not less toxic than cigarette smoke, as is widely believed. In fact, because hookah pipes do not filter as well as cigarette filters do, it is even more damaging.
