About Blood Pressure
Blood pressure is the force exerted by the blood against the walls of the vessels. Blood pressure is determined by the heart’s output and resistance to blood flow in the vessels. If either of these factors changes and there are no compensating changes, blood pressure will change.Blood pressure is a good measure of the health of a person's heart and blood vessels. Higher than normal blood pressure is called hypertension.
About Blood
The average adult has about five liters of blood inside of their body, coursing through their vessels, delivering essential elements, and removing harmful wastes. Without blood, the human body would stop working. Blood transports oxygen from the lungs to the body’s tissue and carbon dioxide from the body tissue to the lungs. Blood is the fluid of growth, transporting nourishment from digestion and hormones from glands throughout the body. Blood is the fluid of health, transporting disease fighting substances to the tissue and waste to the kidneys.
About Kidney Failure
Kidney or Renal Failure is when your kidneys are no longer functioning to remove waste chemicals and toxins from the blood stream. Kidney failure is typically detected by elevated creatinine levels, abnormal fluid levels in the body, deranged acid levels, abnormal levels of potassium, calcium or phosphate which can lead to anemia. There could also be blood or protein loss through urine. If not treated, renal failure can be fatal.
