Is it legal to kick a family out of a house for not paying rent?
In Texas, it is legal to evict a tenant for nonpayment of rent. The landlord is not obligated to accept delinquent rent. The tenant should assume the landlord is going to continue with the eviction until the court says the case has been dropped.
