Is it possible to get a yeast infection on your foot?
Yes, Candida (say: kan-duh-duh) is a yeast, similar to a fungus. It most often affects the skin around the nails. Athlete's foot is a fungus that includes red, dry, cracked, and itchy skin between the toes. ChaCha away!

A yeast infection is a fungal infection caused by any of the candida species of yeast. The infections are usually minor. However, if you have a weakened immune system, they can be potentially life threatening. Male yeast infections are possible but uncommon.
About Fungus
Fungus is a single-celled or multi-cellular organism. A fungus is any of a wide variety of organisms that reproduce by spores. These include mushrooms, molds, yeasts, and mildews. The spores of most fungi grow a network of slender tubes called hyphae that will spread into and feed off dead organic matter or other living organisms.
