Is it possible to text 911?
There are only a few 911 centers nationwide testing this technology. So the safe answer is no. Any other questions for ChaCha?

No you can't text 911, but you can call from your cell phone. I'm sure in the near future they will catch up with technology.

You Can't Text Message 911. The reason you can't text 9-1-1 presently because the technological upgrade is too expensive 4 cities.

We might be able to text 9-1-1 in the future. Emergency dispatch centers would have to be upgraded to get the 9-1-1 call.

You can't text message or call over your internet to 911 for help, at least in America. Some overseas countries can. ChaCha on!
