Is it possible to unlock the iphone 3gs?
It will be possible once someone figures out how to do it. However, even an unlocked 3GS will only work with AT&tT's 3G network.

Its sales continue to grow even as more and more competitive phones are developed. The iPhone 4S was revealed on October 4, 2011 and goes on sale October 14, 2011 for all three major US carriers. It's priced at $199, $299, and $399 on a 2-year contract for 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB respectively.
