Is it safe to take Plan B when on birth control?
Plan B can be used as a backup method to birth control if your regular birth control failed, but Plan B isn't effective if you're already pregnant, and it won't terminate an existing pregnancy. ChaCha again!

About Plan B
Plan B (full name: Plan B One-Step) is a common form of emergency contraceptive or ''morning-after pill.'' It is a one-pill contraception that women take after having unprotected sex or birth control failure. It can be taken up to 72 hours after intercourse; but the sooner it is taken, the higher the likelihood is it will prevent pregnancy.
About Birth Control
Birth control refers to the interception of a female egg and a male sperm so that embryo implantation, resulting in pregnancy, does not occur. Birth control has been practiced for thousands of years, and there are various methods which have evolved, including birth control pills, patches, and shots, as well as condoms, diaphragms, and birth control rings. Methods that don't require additional contraception include early withdrawal and abstinence.
