Kansas is a state in the Midwestern United States bordered by Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Colorado. The state has three climatic regions. The eastern and central portion of the state have a humid continental climate while the western part has a semiarid steppe climate. Temperatures are usually very hot in the summer with low humidity with warm and sometimes very cold winters.
