Is microsoft coming out with a portable gaming system?
Microsoft came out with Nintendo DS Lite not too long ago and they have no plans in the immediate future for anymore systems.

About Nintendo DS
The Nintendo DS is a portable gaming system released on November 21, 2004 that features two LCD screens, one being touch sensitive. It is the first generation of Nintendo handhelds not to bear the "Game Boy" name. Many versions of the handheld were released including the DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL; accounting for over 146 million units sold. The DS was succeeded by the Nintendo 3DS on March 27, 2011.
