Internet Explorer is a web browser that was designed and created by Microsoft. It was first available on the Windows 95 operating system and has been upgraded multiple times. Internet Explorer has held the crown for the most widely used browser in America since 1999.

About Software
Software is anything that can be stored electronically. Software is something you can not touch. It is a program, an application, or some type of data that is stored onto a piece of Hardware. If you have a program you want to install onto your computer, then that is the software. The CD that the software comes on and the hard drive that you load it on is the hardware. Software is normally divided into two different categories: System Software and Application Software. System software includes the utilities that make the computer run, like the Operating System. The application software applies to the word processors, spreadsheets and other types of applications.
