About Nicotine
Nicotine is one of the most heavily used addictive drugs in the United States. Through its delivery mechanism, cigarettes and chewing tobacco, it is also the leading preventable cause of disease, disability and death in the U.S, accounting for 90% of lung cancer cases, or 38,000 deaths per year. It is illegal in most U.S. states to sell cigarettes and chewing tobacco to people under the age of 18. Some state have raised the age to 19.
About Cigarettes
The word cigarette is a French word from 'cigar' and 'ette,' meaning of course, little cigar. Smoking cigarettes and other types of tobacco products are harmful to your health. The government has banned smoking in most public places throughout the United States. Cigarettes are small cylinders of paper filled with fine cut tobacco products, and sometimes filters, used for smoking. Cigarettes are highly addictive and have been proven to cause cancer.
