Of course it didn't happen. They just said it would because it evokes more of an emotional and psychological response than saying outright that this is completely fake and didn't actually happen. If they said before the movie how fake all of the events were then you wouldn't be nearly as "freaked" as many of you obviously were.
the camera moved to dam much i couldnt eve stare at the screen for a second before getting tipsy plus the movie sucked

Tania, you make me laugh for believing that it was real hahaha. Just cause it was shot with a camcorder style filming doesn't mean it's real haha. I hope you didn't think cloverfield was real too hhahahahaha. Anyway this movie was boring as hell! It's not even scary and I can't understand what all the hype is about. And this movie came out in 2007 and I don't know why all of a sudden it's in theaters. This movie is lame, fake and not real!

The movie was a recreation of tapes that were confiscated by the San Diego, CA Police Department. When the movie ends, right before the credits roll, they dedicate the movie to the people it was based after and they even show a photo of them. The people in the photo look NOTHING like the actors in the movie. Geesh. Know what you're talking about before opening your mouths.
