Is the Army Delta Force the same thing as an Army Ranger?
No they are not the same, Delta Force is the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1st SFOD-D) a specific Army unit. Ranger is a qualification issued to everyone who completes Ranger school. All member of Delta Force are Ranger qualified.
