Famous for political brinkmanship (the art or practice of pursuing a dangerous policy to the limits of safety before stopping, typically in politics), Kim Jong Il successfully turned crisis after crisis in to aid for his impoverished and xenophobic nation.

North Korea was created after Korea split up at the end of the Korean War. It is a hereditary dictatorship, one of the most xenophobic countries in the world, and also one of the poorest. The country is in possession of nuclear weapons.
About Kim Jong il
Kim Jong il was the supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, or North Korea, from 1994 until his death in 2011. Known for combining communism, unauthorized nuclear weapons program and general craziness, he is thought to have died from complications from cancer on December 17 2011.
