About NASCAR Nationwide Series
The Nationwide Series in NASCAR is a proving ground for young talented drivers who want to earn their way up to the Sprint Cup Series. The Nationwide Series has been known as the Busch Series and Busch Grand National Series in the past. The inaugural season was in 1982 with Jack Ingram taking home the Championship.
