About State Fair
State fairs began as competitive exhibitions of livestock in competitions. This later expanded to competition in categories such as baked goods, jams, jellies and crafts. Carnival rides, games, music, races and other activities later were included in fairs. The first official state fair was in 1849 in Detroit, Michigan.
About The Band Perry
The Band Perry is a country music group from Ridgeland, Mississippi that consists of the siblings Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry. The band released its self-titled debut album in 2010 and it quickly became a hit thanks to the singles ''Hip to My Heart'' and ''If I Die Young.'' The Band Perry won the Top New Artist award at the 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
