Is the world going to end in 2012?

The world ends in 5 billion years (assuming the world ends when the sun burns out). However, many perceive December 21, 2012 as being the end of the world, which is when the Mayan calendar ends. But don't forget when the world was supposed to end in 2000, because no computer at that time had a calendar that went past 1999, so if you really want to base it on a calendar, more power to you.

The world will probably not end in 2012 as some say the Mayan Calender predicts. The Mayans were likely not predicting apocalypse. ChaCha
