About South Carolina
South Carolina if nothing else, is a state brimming with American history. South Carolina is one of the 13 original British colonies, it was the first state to secede from the Union in 1860, and then being on the losing side of a Civil War they sort of started. The state is famous for its massive estates and plantation houses, and the resort town of Myrtle Beach.
About North Carolina
North Carolina is found in the Southeast region of the United States. It is bordered to the north by Virginia, to the south by South Carolina and Georgia, to the west by Tennessee and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean. The climate of North Carolina is humid and sub-tropical. The winters are generally mild with average temperatures in the upper 40’s, lower 50’s. The summers are long and humid with average temperatures in the 90’s. The region often experiences hurricanes.
