About Population
The United States collects census data every 10 years to find the population of cities and states. This information helps cities and states to plan and budget as well as determine what types of services are needed in a region. One of the most important things the census helps to determine is how many total seats in the House of Representatives each state gets.
About North Dakota
In the northern fringes of the Midwest region lies North Dakota. It is bordered on the north by Canada, to the east by Minnesota, to the south by South Dakota and to the west by Montana. The northern state experiences cold winters and warm summers. The eastern have of the state experiences more humidity than the western half of the state. In the winter the average temperatures are in the teens and the summer averages temperatures in the 70’s.
