About Womens Basketball
Women's basketball is one of the few sports that actually developed for men as well as women early on. Women started playing less than a year after the men did with the first team popping up at Smith College in 1892. Fast forward to the 21st century and women are just as involved at the collegiate level as men with the WNBA giving women a professional outlet as well.
