About methamphetamine
Methamphetamines are psycho-stimulants. Meth can increase energy, alertness, concentration, induce euphoria, enhance self-esteem and increase the libido. It is highly addictive because it triggers a release of dopamine and serotonin in the brain. Withdrawal from meth can last up to 10 days. Withdrawal symptoms include depression, fatigue, excessive sleeping and increased appetite. Twenty percent of meth addicts experience a mental state resembling schizophrenia for longer than six months after withdrawal.
