Should we have dropped the second atomic bomb on Japan?
The tough Battle of Okinawa showed the Japanese couldn't be defeated by a land invasion and lead to the decision to drop the bomb. Because the Japanese government did not react to the Potsdam Declaration by the US president he decided another A-BOMB was needed.
